LGO 2013 IM Ice Hockey!
We have had a few ice hockey games so far. The reality of the situation is that we aren't all that good. In fact, we are terrible! But we have tons of fun playing anyway. I am the goalie part of the time.
Here are some pictures from them.

OneSloan Esplanade Cleanup
Sloan believes in giving back to the community too. On October 21, 2011, a big gourp of MIT Sloan students volunteered their time and cleaned up part of the Esplanade. The Esplanade is a park area along the river where many different events happen. It also has children's playgrounds and running paths. Check out the photos below of us trying to make a difference.

Bonding in All Atmospheres
At the end of September, the LGOs embarked on a 2-day camping trip. It was rainy, muddy, soggy. And then there was light, and hamburgers. All was well. Let's check out the highlights. In Autumn Hills Campsite, NH.
Graue with his "CHEESY POOFS!!!!" This became the theme snack for the trip.
Turned out to be a gorgeous weekend. These are the ones that stayed.

The beginning begins
The new Fall Sloan MBA semester has started. Classes have begun and already my time is severely dwindling. Fortunately, interesting experiences have interspersed this beginning. Below are some pictures from team building at the Warren Center during orientation week.
P.S. My camera broke and I will be getting one soon. Until then, pictures may be a bit scarce.
We had to build a raft that carried at least 3 people and take it out to an island. We decided to do some team-building and construct a raft that would carry the whole team. We were successful.
Project and Team Management at its worst (and funniest!).
My wonderful team, the 2013 Indian Gulls!!!!!

Probability and Statistics Helicopter Drop Competition
As part of Probability and Statistics class, we are supposed to use Design of Experiments to create an optimal helicopter design as a final project. As part of this project, we needed to create and drop the optimal helicopter against the rest of the summer teams. A few photos from the drop.
Three stories is a long way down for a little piece of paper.

LGO at the Leadership Reaction Course (LRC)
Very short background. LRC is a set of highly physical obstacles geared towards leadership development. Obstacles include spanning a large gap with a few boards, scaling walls, and transporting equipment in very short amounts of time. The leadership aspect comes in with the time restriction. Teams are given 15 minutes to clear an obstacle, which really can only be done with good leaders. Each member of the team is allowed to lead at least once. Here are some picture from the day.
P.S. It was FUN!!!
There is water under this rickety little bridge.
Red means dead. We can't touch the red.
Planning for how to get across with 6 people, 7 boards, and 1 ammo box.
How the heck do I get down??!!?!
